The Single Best Way To Change Your Life

May 05, 2020

Did you ever dream about being a movie star, millionaire, professional sports player, or celebrity? Don’t worry you’re not alone! Despite seeming somewhat out of reach for many of us there are many key things the top 1% do in their daily lives that if implemented can make a MASSIVE change in yours.

Most notably among those is their mentality, drive, and willingness to push harder than those before them to achieve results that have never been done before. Will Smith famously said “those who say they can’t and those who say they can are both usually right”. This statement resonates with me personally as it is very common to see those who are masters of their craft to also be masters of their own mind. The only difference between them and the average Joe is they were willing to sacrifice their time, comfort, and sometimes happiness, to push harder than ever before to achieve it.

The cruel reality of life is hard work is simply a concept without a universal value. Everyone values hard work but everyone’s belief of what hard work looks like is different. Is working hard doing what is expected of you at work? Is it staying back an extra hour each day? Or is it working to the point of your own insanity to which you feel all you do is work? The simple answer is there is no answer. Everyone’s idea is different.

So where do you gain the leg up? What do the 1% do that means their hard work makes them the best? Simple. They don’t “work hard”. Instead they work harder than the person they want to become like. By working harder than the hardest worker there is a good chance you will grow, learn, and evolve more than the hardest worker, and with luck become everything you dream you will.

So what’s the takeaway? What must I change? Your mentality.

“Your life is a direct reflection of everything you are willing to tolerate” – Kerwin Rae.

To tolerate being uncomfortable more, tolerate staying back that extra hour so you can learn more, and then tolerate staying back two. Tolerate not staying in bed and getting up to do what others won’t. Most importantly of all don’t tolerate allowing yourself to be normal. Be extraordinary!

“Being realistic is the most common road travelled to mediocrity” – Will Smith
